Windows Registry

Windows registry stores all application settings in one logical repository (but a number of discrete files) and in a standardized form. You can use the registry editor regedit.exe (carefully) to modify the windows registry.

Why use the Windows Registry

  1. To get context menu entries to have underline keyboard shortcuts
  2. To ensure context menu entries picks up directory against which it is right clicked
  3. To add Add 'Open with ...' to the Context Menu for All Files
